Charlotte loves her kitchen, for it is right here that she creates her daily culinary masterpieces. Recently, this space has become even cozier—with a quick and simple transformation, her kitchen furniture has taken on a fresh, delightful new look.
This is what the kitchen used to look like. So, what has changed?
P.S. I bought this toy kitchen set quite a while ago, and it took considerable time to figure out how to upgrade it so it wouldn't look too childish. As it turns out, nothing complicated was needed, and now the kitchen looks so much better.
Now the kitchen looks like this.
I covered all the bright pictures on the cabinet panels, the refrigerator, the microwave, and the dishwasher using self-adhesive film. The panels are made of cardboard and easily slide out, so it was quite simple. I applied two layers of film to each surface because the original pattern showed through a single layer.
I also applied self-adhesive film to the pink cabinet doors, but this time I chose a cream-colored one instead of white.
I also decorated the refrigerator with a few cute nail art stickers. They look just like tiny fridge magnets.
Charlotte happily bakes delicious treats for the residents of Doll Island, Kingdom of Creativity. Every day, such delightful aromas fill her kitchen that it is simply impossible not to stop by and wonder, "What smells so good today?" And now, her kitchen has become even more cozy.
Behind the scenes.
Dear reader,
Thank you so much for being here and reading my blog. I truly appreciate your support. I won't say that creating content comes easily to me, but I try my absolute best — despite the war in my country and the daily shelling of my city. Even while taking these very photos, explosions were echoing outside my window, forcing me to step away from my camera and the set for a while.
Despite all of this, I keep working. Creativity brings me peace, and your presence here inspires me to keep creating even more.
Along with these photos, I also filmed a video, though there is still a lot of editing work ahead. At the end of the upcoming YouTube video, in the "Behind the Scenes" segment, I will definitely show you the process of transforming this miniature kitchen, including how and where I applied the self-adhesive film.
💭 How do you like this simple makeover for Charlotte's kitchen?
Have you ever tried something similar, or would you give it a try?
Do you have a kitchen set like this in your collection?
I'm sorry the world is like it is and you have to live in uncertainty, but I'm glad you found something to bring you peace amidst the chaos.
ReplyDeleteI really like the upgrades in the kitchen, and nail stickers are just genius for fridge magnets; I might have to copy that idea. I hope you don't mind.
Charlotte fits right in with the pastel outfit and the kitchen doesn't look childish at all (my own real life kitchen has some pink tiles and I love it).
Thank you so much for your warm support and for such a wonderful comment. I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. I share my ideas in hopes that they might be helpful to someone, so I don't mind at all—in fact, I’d be truly happy if you used these ideas.
DeleteI’m really pleased with how my miniature kitchen set turned out, and I hope it inspired you to create something special for your miniature one as well 💗
Hi Inesa!
ReplyDeleteThe world is crazy right now, but to be right in the midst of it all must be daunting. Living through turbulent times can be incredibly overwhelming. If you are feeling stressed or just need a moment to decompress, taking a step back by focusing on your hobby, is probably the best thing you can do to help clear your mind.
You always, and I do mean always, do such a wonderful job of your posts. They are interesting and your photos are so clear, I just wish mine were half as good. You have created a very pretty, one of a kind kitchen for Charlotte to cook in.
Big hugs,
X
Hi Xanadu! It’s always such a pleasure to read your comments—this one brought a genuine smile to my face. Thank you so much for your support and for always writing such kind words. I truly appreciate it. I only wish there were more goodness and more people like you in the world.
DeleteI was so pleasantly surprised by your compliment about my photos, and I’m so glad you like them. I always feel like I still have so much to learn and figure out when it comes to photography. I’ve only recently managed to master the manual settings on my Nikon camera.
Sending you big hugs back 💗
